OME Remote Objects (OMERO) is a modern client-server software platform for visualising, managing, and annotating biological image data. OMERO ships as a server application and a series of clients - Insight, Importer, Web and Editor that run on all the major operating systems. The OMERO clients allow the scientist to remotely manage, view, annotate and measure multi-dimensional images from anywhere. For example, Omero Insight is used to organize the images into a collection of dataset. OME is an umbrella term that stands for Open Microscopy Environment and covers:
Some of the OMERO Features includes: Import Images: Import images from microscope, graphics and other imaging formats. Manage and organise: Manage, organise and delete images within Projects and Datasets. More File Formats: OMERO now imports all the formats read by Bio-Formats including microscopy, HCS, tissue scanner and graphics file formats. Over 60 in total. MetaData: Improved metadata support — full visibility of image, microscope, and detector metadata. Live Thumbnails: Adjust rendering of thumbnails and propagate across sets of images. Export: Export any image as OME-TIFF, complete with metadata using the OME-XML standard. Directory Import: Choose a directory of images to import and filter the contents by image format if desired. Quality Assurance: Feedback system that allows users to send comments, bugs, or data files, and to track responses and updates. Image Rendering: Turn channels on/off, change channel colours, adjust brightness and contrast. Copy and paste settings between images. Remote Access: Connect to a server from any remote location. Choose a higher image compression level if connecting from a low bandwidth location. Attachment: Attach files to images, such as pdf or word documents (protocols, results, etc.) Search & Filter: Filter displayed images by properties such as name, tag, rating and comment. Search using tags, names, or any other text data. Manage Users: Server administrators can add and manage users and groups with the web-admin tool. Sharing: Share sets of images with other users and have a conversation about the data. At Shantasoft, we provide the following services:
